On the needles: Trek jumper

I've just started knitting a pattern called Trek by Tin Can Knits. You can find the Ravelry page about it here: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/trek-4 and the page on their website here: https://tincanknits.com/pattern/trek

It's a lovely pattern so far and very well written. It's meant to be knitted bottom up but I like the flexibility of top down so I'm converting it by using one of their other patterns called Strange Brew to help me out with that!

The main grey wool, and also the navy, is King Cole Homespun DK. It looks lovely and it's a good price but it's terribly thin for a DK! The person I'm knitting the jumper for doesn't like bulky jumpers which is lucky because this will be much thinner than usual. I'm not sure I'd buy it again but we'll see how it goes.

The other colours are all Drops Soft Tweed - much better! They're thicker and feel really lovely to knit with. I almost bought it all as Soft Tweed and wish I had really, though it would have cost a bit more. The colours are working really well together though I take no credit for that - the recipient chose them all :-)

Progress so far:

I'm not looking forward to weaving all these ends in though!

The rest of the jumper is plain grey from now on so it should get a bit quicker to do in theory but I might add some more colourwork on the wrists.

I'm really enjoying it so far :-)

November sun

Beautiful considering how far into November we are!  And, Trek is slowly coming along ...
